INGREDIENTS:
For
Dough
1 cup refined flour (maida)
1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)(optional)
salt as per taste
3 tbsp ghee/oil
For stuffing
1/2 cup shelled green peas
2 tblsp for frying ghee/oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped green chillies
2 cups potato cubes (1/2 cm)
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt as per taste
1 tsp dry mango powder (amchur)
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tblsp corriander leaves
METHOD
Mix
the dough ingredients.Add water little
by little and make a hard dough.
Cook green peas in salted boiling
water till soft.Refresh in cold water
.Drain out the excess water.Heat oil
in a pan,add cummin seeds and when
they start to change the colour,add
finely chop ginger , green chillies
and diced patatos.Add all the powdered
masala.Stir well Sprinkle water and
cook covered till the potatos are
done.Add shelled peas and mix well
Make 16 balls of the flour dough.Apply
aittle flour and roll them into four
inch diameter elongated diskettes.Cut
into half,apply water on the
edge.Shape it into a cone and stuff it
with potato and peas filling. Seal the
edges by pressing the ends together
and deep fry it on a medium flame till
golden brown and crisp.Serve with
